SHEHATA AFTER ENGLAND DEFEAT
But Shehata hopes his side can learn from their defeat to the European giants.
"I think a match against England at Wembley can be the start of a new phase for us," the Egypt boss told FilGoal.com.
"It is a very useful experience and hopefully we can make it happen again in the future."
Concentration
Shehata blamed the second-half lapse to the lack of concentration from some players, but refused to give any names.
"The performance was awful starting from the 50th minute. Some players lost concentration and started to play individually," he added.
It is the third time that Egypt had slumped to a friendly defeat after clinching the African Cup of Nations under Shehata's management.
The seven-time African champions were downed 2-0 in Spain after their CAN 2006 triumph on home soil, before losing by the same score-line to Argentina in Cairo two years later.
